Privacy Policy

Last updated 27 September 2026 · Applies to the VetVera owner app, clinic portal, and vetvera.com

Draft — pending legal review. This policy describes VetVera's data handling as implemented today. It hasn't yet been reviewed by counsel and may change before general release.

What we collect

To run VetVera, we collect:

How clinics see your pet's information

This is the core of how VetVera works: a clinic can only see a pet's medical history if it treated that pet directly, or if you've granted that clinic explicit, standing access. No clinic sees another clinic's records by default.

Every grant, revoke, and access is logged

Each time you grant or revoke a clinic's access, and each time a clinic opens a shared record, VetVera writes a permanent audit entry. Revoking access takes effect immediately — a clinic you've removed cannot see anything new from that point on.

Who else sees your data

We use a small number of service providers to run VetVera. They process data on our behalf and don't use it for their own purposes:

We do not use behavioral analytics or advertising tracking in the owner app.

How long we keep it

We don't currently have a fixed retention or automatic purge schedule. When you delete your account, your login credentials are removed and your data is anonymized rather than physically erased — see our account deletion page for exactly what that does and doesn't cover today.

Your rights

You can review and update most of your information directly in the app. To request a copy of your data, ask a question about what we hold, or request deletion, contact us at the address below.

Changes to this policy

We'll update the "last updated" date above when this policy changes. Material changes will be communicated in the app.
